Bach Akademie Australia (BAA) is dedicated to putting Johann Sebastian Bach’s music front and centre on the national landscape for audiences of all ages.
They do this because music is not just entertainment — it’s nourishment for the heart and soul, and it’s a bridge between people.
It is interesting to ponder the similarity between the aesthetics and philosophy of Baroque music, in particular Johann Sebastian Bach, and organic farming, in particular organic wine. Both reflect the beauty, cycles, balance and harmony of the natural order.
Organic farming focuses on working in harmony with natural ecosystems, using natural processes to promote harmony and balance in soil, plants, insects and animals.
To us as music lovers, the harmonious balance and melodic structures of Baroque music also fosters in us a deep connection to the natural world, especially when using natural instruments and the human voice.
